HIGHLANDS SEMINOLE CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
Endowed by Hawood O. Taylor

BACKGROUND:
In 1995 the Highlands Seminole Club received a generous donation from Mr. Haywood Taylor of Sebring (FSU class of 1953) which was used to established an endowed scholarship with the Florida State University Foundation. Mr. Taylor's gift was eligible for matching funds by the State of Florida and this has enabled our club to award these wonderful scholarships. The Club continues to contribute to the Foundation Endowment through fund raisers such as the annual Highlands Seminole Shoot-Out Dinner and Golf Tournament.

WHAT DO I GET?
Currently each Scholarship is at up to $2,500. The scholarship money is transferred from our Foundation account to the recipient's student account in half the award per semester starting in the fall term of the award.
